Patty

Hi, I'm Patty and I'm celebrating! Five years ago I was stuck in the city pound. I don't even remember how I got there. Some nice ladies came in and walked me and petted me while I was there. Then one day I got a home! Wow, was I happy! But after a few days my new owners took me back to People For Paws. I really don't know what I did wrong. :(
A few weeks later another family adopted me. But that didn't work out and the man was mean to me. He even hit me. So, one of the ladies with People For Paws took me home as a foster dog. It was great because I had a big Labrador friend named Gypsy, good food, a soft bed, and treats! Oh, and the back yard was fenced and I could run and run.
The lady tried to find me a home, but not too hard! I could tell she liked me! She called me sweet names and hugged me. Anyway, the nice lady decided to keep me! Now I have a home forever and ever!! :) I've been here 5 whole years! Gosh, I'm so lucky!

I've been ADOPTED!!! This nice couple met me and fell in love with me right away. They even wanted me after I tested positive for heart worms, which made me love them even more. I had to wait a couple of weeks before I was able to go to my new home, but now I am there and loving it. I have two doggy siblings and we get along great! I have to spend most of my time resting until I'm all better but know it's all worth it. I got this thing called a bath the other day. I was told I was perfect in the tub. I just laid my head in my new mom's lap and enjoyed. I was told I smelled so much better and I even feel much better. Being adopted has been the best thing! I just hope all my other friends at the rescue will be able to know the feeling someday soon.

Minni Mouse

I came into the pound wondering why I was given up. Next thing I know I'm at what they call a foster home. The family fell in love with me, even their dog who doesn't get along with many other dogs. That rest is history, they adopted me after someone else had said they would like to adopt me. My then forster mom said she didn't think she could live with out me. Now I'm so happy that I found my forever home! Sometimes I'm told I'm spoiled but I don't mind.
